Our Services

Analytical testing services are important in verifying the quality of products, detecting and identifying contaminants, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guide product development as well as they help in taking informed decision for public safety and business development.

Analytical testing utilizes a variety of scientific techniques to analyze and evaluate substances or materials, ranging from pharmaceuticals and food products to different chemicals

Nutritional Analysis

Care about Nutrition

A food is a complex combination of nutrients and other compounds that act synergistically within the food and across food combinations. Food plays an integral role in human metabolism, digestion, and growth.

Nutritional analysis of food is the process of determining the nutritional content of food. It is an important part of analytical chemistry that provides information about the chemical composition, processing, quality control, and contamination of food. Nutrients are generally reported on a 100g basis as a certificate of analysis. The nutritional analysis is used to prepare label nutrient disclosures on food packaging.

We use different methods to ensure quality nutritional data and transcribed into a nutritional fact table (NFT).

Biochemical Components

 Care about health

Food is composed of several heterogeneous components of thousands of different nutritive and nonnutritive compounds from different plant and animal matrices. Non-desirable biochemical components such as environmental contaminants, microbial and plant toxins, and veterinary drugs are also present with their presence posing a danger to human health. In analytical food chemistry, the isolation, identification, and quantification of both desirable and undesirable compounds continue to pose immense challenges to food analysts. Methods and tests used to isolate, identify, and quantify must be precise, accurate, be increasing sensitive to satisfy the rigors of investigative and applicable science, have minimal interfering factors, use minimal hazardous chemicals, and produce minimal/no hazardous wastes.

We analyze:

  • Fat

  • Fatty acids

  • Nitrogen content

  • Protein

  • Carbohydrate profile

  • Dietary fiber

  • Nitrates/Nitrites

  • Vitamins

  • Mycotoxins

Food Authenticity

We Care what you Eat

Meat species identification and animal authentication in meat products is a significant subject, attention to which would contribute to fair-trade, and would enable consumers to make informed choices. The identification of food content is performed in many countries for different of reasons such as economic and ethnic. These meat identifications are required to prevent the substitution of meat for human consumption with a meat that are unsuitable or inferior species, or may be of importance in various religious communities where consumption of a particular species is not permitted.

Analytical methods are often based on protein or DNA measurements. Advances in DNA technology have led to the rapid development of alternative approaches to species identification. Recently, application of polymerase chain reaction in food analysis has increased in the light of their simplicity, specificity and sensitivity.

At QRA Inc we use DNA based technology to identify the meat species from food.
